The story of “Company” will be told by a diverse and fun group of performing artists who have dedicated months of time and effort to achieve the challenge of creating a performance piece of this magnitude and acclaim.
The 15 person cast is comprised of different majors, the majority of whom study music and theater.
Each of their performances is a result of the process in which they have been working since last fall.
Though the musical is surrounded by praise, the performers say the music was difficult to handle.
“This was the hardest music I ever had to learn,” said Fionna Lane, a music major cast a Kathy. “It is rhythmically complex and non repetitive.”
The cast, however, has come to an agreement that Kelsey Karl (playing Amy) has the most difficult song to sing.
“Amy’s song is very complex and fast,” said Karl, supported by nods and expressions of agreement interjected by her fellow actors.
