Schulz Information center celebrates 10th anniversary

In a landmark anniversary, the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center turns 10 this year. As part of the celebration, the library's website is currently featuring a series of Top 10 lists, such as Top 10 study spots and Top 10 (something else's).

More than just a library, the Schulz Information Center serves as the hub of the campus and as the beating heart of student life. In honor of this milestone anniversary, the STAR presents its own top ten library list.

Top 10 services and features of the Jean and Charles Schulz Information Center.

1. Articles, books and beyond.  

These short drop-in sessions are designed to teach attendees the ins and outs of database searching, locating articles and the wealth of other library services.  

2. Technology workshops.

From Dreamweaver to iMovie to Powerpoint, these workshops can give an extra leg up to the less tech savvy student or can be used to simply learn a new skill to add to your resume.

3. Interlibrary loans.

Can't find what you need in the library on campus? Log on to Link + and be granted access to materials from 45 partner libraries or ILLiad for nationwide service.

4. Assistive technology.

In collaboration with Disabled Student Services, the library includes four assistive technology workstations with such features as speech recognition software, height adjustable tables and large monitors.

5. Study rooms.

Suited to fit a variety of needs, the library offers everything from regular study rooms, to group viewing rooms to student presentation rooms.

6. Automated retrieval system.
