Dear Editor, I have a very strong interest on both sides of the current concern over Military Recruiters on campus. I attended the recent debate on campus between a Marine Officer and a lawyer from the ACLU. A recent issue of the Star reported an incident on campus on recruiters that I did not have an opportunity to observe.
Dear Editor: In studying urban planning I have learned that an important aspect of any major institution is to be a positive part of the community in which it is a part of. This should include supporting local businesses and acting in the interest of public safety.
To Whom It May Concern: Not many students are aware of the fact that our campus had a professionally staffed Women's Resource Center since 1987, let alone where it is located. However, in the last semester I have become very familiar with the WRC because I have worked there organizing events, helping keep it open during office hours and hoping that more people will utilize the services offered.
Emily, A few weeks back I found a copy of the Star. After a quick glance at my watch I sat down to read it. As I read your article regarding the military recruiting I found myself vocally agreeing with you and this particular article. After I read the contents I let the material soak in.
